Stopped here because I was in town for a meeting. I will go ahead and admit- I am a picky, snobby green eater. No one seems to make good greens anymore. These greens tho- omg! They were amazing!!! The had a little sweetness in them along with some spice.. The fried pork chop was crisp and flavorful and the sweet potatoes were amazing! I highly highly recommend stopping here the next time you are in Canton!

We stopped in for lunch after a long drive from Oxford to Natchez. We drifted through the front doors while our nostrils filled with the inviting aromas of smoking meats and were pleasantly delighted to be served massive portions of BBQ'd chicken, two sides and desert for less than $15. We would absolutely recommend and look forward to returning.

The best food we've had on this southern trip. I recommend especially the Mac and cheese and the boiled cabbage (wish I knew how they make that so tasty). Don't let the look of the place keep you away. It's great!! And did I mention the blackberry cobbler?

Based on reviews we decided to seek out Marlo's. The fish was a little dry but the sides were very tasty. Ribs on their own didn't have much flavor but the barbecue sauce saved them. Overall a good meal.

I loved everything except the fact there was a delay in acknowledging my presence when I walked in and greeting me. The restaurant was clean and well lit and doing bustling business. There were many families there in their Sundays finest (as today is Sunday) and enjoying a Sunday meal. The food was prepared quickly and it was delicious. I could tell the fish was prepared fresh and it so delicious. And it tasted like catfish. I only say that because very often now when I eat out and buy fried catfish it tastes like whiting. Or some other fish. And not catfish. But this dish tasted like catfish and it was seasoned well and piping hot. I ordered a side of cabbage and red beans and rice and they were all delicious. The staff was diverse. I absolutely loved that. There was ample parking. The restaurant had a very varied menu and offered a variety of dishes. That was fantastic. I loved absolutely everything about the place including my food. If I had to give a small minus to the restaurant it would be the fact that i was not greeted when I walked in and walked up to the counter. One woman was on the phone but she saw me. The other lady was right in front of me and she also ignored me. This bothered me. However when she finally got off the phone she was very attentive. However I'm happy with everything else.

Damn good bbq, slaw on top yum! Cash only but they have a machine right there (still a sketchy practice I hope they know) ... big sandwich for the money for sure.

Wow! Have you ever ate something and it takes you back in time to when you were little and your mom or relatives were doing the cooking? The greens, purple hull peas, and sweet potato pie were a gentle reminder of my youth, when Aunt Minnie would ask, "you kids eat yet?" She would serve the most delicious fried steak or fried chicken imaginable. Those flavors are not gone to the past! Small town, family atmosphere, friendly customers, all saying hello to one another and asking, how ya been? This is my happy place here in Canton. So glad I finally went in to see how good it truly is. Do yourself a favor, go relive those old family flavors you remember. If you don't have them, go live them now and make these your memories. Thank you to the family that owns the place. You truly made me go back to fond, fond memories. Will definitely be back!!!
